Hence my nihilistic realization which lead me to even think perhaps the universe is created and maintained by evil demons (never shared that with you guys, but I believed it was possible).
Probably because the argument would be true of value, and of our relatively higher worth, the way you describe and define it.
It's a bad argument for atheism because atheism is only concerend with one thing..whether or not there are gods. A dirtbag god worth less than the least of us would still be a god. You wouldn;t have been the first person to believe the bit about the demons..though. It was a popular component of mystery religions.
