You understand it, but from my framework, Satan's greatest trump card he plays against humans, is he creates a laughter at reality and the proofs of God and the warnings, so it's all taken as some sort of joke, the spiritual eye and spiritual world, but it's anything but that.
And it's really tough for Messengers for example to preach they are that connection to love and hence, get connected to God, in the spiritual center of the world, and are connected to us, because it makes them look like egoistic clowns, and we don't realize their serious position is the only means which goodness is possible.
That is why Quran says in 42:23 "and whoever earns goodness", that is "love of the near kin" of the Messenger to the whole world, is the definition of goodness, for they are that which connects us to God and the mystic link that connects us all together by real fabrics of love that define every relationship and every hue of light and very form of beauty.
It seems funny, but I am sure you don't know of an alternative way to perceive goodness. You just hoping there is. You hope the brain can create it and make it reality, but it's impssible for material thing to do it, let alone the process of big bang to evolution, to be a valid source of morality and human nature.
