Every generation is a chosen one who is the King of the world that will guide any soul who seeks guidance with utmost effort. And he is the protector and vanquisher of the darkness in every soul and will protect believers by the command and permission of God.
And as for those who disbelieve, it's not it's his duty to protect them, but it does try to call them back to God, and it's not incumbent on the guide to force help.
