If there was infinite energy then the ball of matter could not have been, the infinite energy would have prevented this condition.

There was no ball of matter. At the moment of Big Bang all what would later become matter were still undifferentiated positive energy. To the best of our current measurement, the total amount positive energy in the universe is exactly equal to the total amount of negative energy in the form of gravity, resulting In net energy of Big Bang being zero. The positive component of energy can be infinite, so long as it is exactly balanced by negative components of the same magnitude.
