My answer to his last question would be as follows, if I was a Muslim (or considering becoming one). There seem to be three strategies.

1) Don't be a Muslim. Don't encourage people to be Muslims.

2) Start a new sect of Islam where you edit the books so that they say what you actually want them to say. Encourage other Muslims to join you.

3) Start a new sect of Islam where the books are not considered "the word of Allah", but are instead primitive man's attempts to understand God. Make it clear that nothing in the books is to be taken as commanding, but is instead completely open to individual interpretation. Encourage other Muslims to join you.

If you refuse to do any of these three, then you're propagating the same message as "violent Islam", as described in the video, but just insisting that it isn't actually violent.
