This.

DS9 is still my favourite series, though Voyager and TNG are pretty good.

My favourite DS9 eps include "The Visitor", "Way of the Warrior", and the ep that I can never remember the title of where Sisko brings the Romulans into the war.

Best DS9 character is Garak, as far as I'm concerned.

Voyager was most pretty average with excellent episodes and others that are on par with TNG's "The Royale", "Shades of Grey", and "Skin of Evil" - bloody awful.

The best thing I can generally say about Enterprise is that the highlight of most shows is the end credits.

There was, however, a great two parter set in the mirror universe.  That was very well done.

But their way of playing fast ond loose with canon really bugged me.  They encountered the Borg and the Ferengi?
In defense of enterprise the Borg can be explained by time travel and the fact that the Federation simply may have not made the link between the Aliens the Enterprise encountered and the Borg or the documents were simply lost .

As for the Ferengi their never refer to themselves as the Ferengi and the stargazer never visually saw them

Really because the person who made DS9 went against Roddenberry's  vision at least some elements and quite a few episodes were devoted to tearing down it's mythology .

A capitalist (quark ) gets a major sympathetic role
A dark character like Garak also gets a sympathetic role
Sisko is  the anti Picard
The Federation is depicted as heavy handed and at time hypocritical
It adds the supernatural and religion to a series that was highly secular
And it kind of became pro war as the Federation becomes slowly more militaristic

Just some thoughts

I don't think the Federation became pro-war.  I think that they were shaken out of their complacent "peace at any cost" attitude and realised they would have to actually fight occasionally after Wolf 359.

Remember the Defiant (to me the best small ship to come out of Starfleet), was the first specially designed warship the Federation had built, and it was specifically designed to fight the Borg.
They seemed more and more willing to pro resort to aggression to solve it problems hell they even turned the other way when section 31 tried killing all the founders and they planted a spy in the Romulan government

As for the defiant remember it was shelved because the Federation didn't want to make warships
Seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy -- myself.
