You sure do love to use the term speculation in relation to science, even when it's use is completely inappropriate. We know that planets exist. We know they orbit stars. We've definitively discovered planets orbiting other stars. Galaxies are made of, among other things, billions of stars. It's simple extropolation to figure out that there are planets orbiting some of the stars in other galaxies, even without Tonks' link.
But for fundamental believing science deniers, it's all just wild assed guessing speculation.
