Right. As if violence by knifes and broken beer bottles don't count as violence...only "gun violence" matters.
I also question the value of that stat, and would love to debate someone in the debate section about whether or not it has any value or tells you anything meaningful. The chart Min posted was worse than that though, because the top chart just said 'homocides' and only sideways in small letters does it say 'gun homocides'
That is just outright trying to manipulate people and pretend that one statistic actually is another one. That's just propaganda.
I'm an agnostic when it comes to gun control, because it would seem logical that less guns=a safer society. But gun control advocate s aren't even trying to make that case.
To make it you'd have to show that gun control reduced the homocide rate en large. Which using a stat like gun violence just doesn't do and people don't even attempt it, instead just finding the most blatent propghanda and going with that.
