It does seem intuitive that less guns would reduce homicides, if only because guns are more effective than other weapons.

 You would also have to consider crimes that were thwarted by the use of a gun.

Name me one mass killing that was stopped by a gun this year and then prove how many of those crimes required a gun to stop 

 Regardless of whether gun laws are or are not effective, the further question is how much personal liberty Americans are willing to trade for government promises to keep us safe and secure.

No the question is how much safety and security are Americans willing to give up so some paranoid gun nuts can keep there dick enhancements
