As I get older, though I no longer organize my thinking along Taoist lines, I realize that my embracing Taoism when I was younger has yielded significant benefits. I'm much more open and accepting of differences than I suspect I would have been otherwise. And though I only notice it in hindsight, my whole approach to the world and learning is organized along Taoist lines, even though I don't consider myself a practicing Taoist.
