My redneck friend from Oklahoma loves slathering tons of butter on his steak. It makes me recoil thinking of the prospect of such. And I didn't know it was that popular until I saw a major restaurant chain on tv with a pad of butter on top of a steak. Point is, I don't get it, but if my friend loves it, who am I to say?
He told me about his preference years ago, and I cringed. But when we finally met in person last year, we went to a steak house and he did just that, right in front of me. I swear he might as well have used a bucket loader Bako for the amount of butter he loaded on to his steak. "Would you like a little steak with your butter?"
Point is, it does me no good to bitch about something I am not going to eat. It made him happy so that made me happy.
