As SFDebris has commented female Star Trek captains either die or go unhinged (or sometimes both). Janeway was in the latter camp.
Her entire seven season run was utterly destroyed by the pilot? You're informing me that her character could not be redeemed after the pilot? Please, go on. Tell me more. I insist.
(Also, Picard became completely unhinged, as did Kirk. All recovered, as did Janeway). I feel the female is being unfairly singled out by Wololo.

Really the only thing I didn't like about her character was the romance with Chakotay, who is possibly my least favorite character in a sci fi TV series, ever. Somehow, he still didn't ruin the show!
