Your confusion is really out of control Khem.  
Maybe in the next reincarnation (hoping you will be reincarnated as a human rather than an ape) you will understand the law of actions and reactions and of course the karma law.  

In the meantime I just give you a small tip.  
Matter, plants and animals are immune to karma as they follow mother nature instinct.  

Congratulations anyway for your interest in this important topic even if you can only grasp the crumbs.

So.... you don't know.  Is that really -my- confusion?

Aside from fw..which we may not possess, nothing incurs a karmic debt....as everything then would be instinct.  How....then, does a plant accrue enough karma coins to become an animal in the next life?  How does an animal accrue enough karma coins to become a man?  How do plants and animals accrue negative karma?  Is dogkicking neutral for them but disastrous for me?  

Sounds like you're not done telling us all of the ways that fw is a problem for your superstitions.

You presume that in order to climb the ladder of evolution good actions are needed also in lower conscious creatures such as animals or plants.
Why animals and plants should be put on the same level of humans?
Animals kill or do things in order to survive.
There is no hatred or revenge spirit in these lower conscious creatures while this apply to humans which may hurt other creature for revenge or hatred that is why the law of karma apply to humans and not to animals or plants.
