They're not even trying anymore with these notice boards. I saw one last week that read "1 cross + 2 nails = Jesus". Daaang math, logic and reasoning are wasted on these guys.
Atheists don't believe in magic man, therefore we can't possibly repent for transgressions against a being that we don't think even exists.
Now the parish priest on the other hand, who believes in god, has in his mind sinned against the "figment" because he killed a tree to make a meaningless nonsensical statement, he is squandering his god's creation.
