Lets be clear her, if you do accept evolution, like many theists, you cherry pick it up and until it conflicts with your old mythology.
So how does evolution play into economics you ask?
When you look at other life, when it is balanced and diverse, no one species crashes the ecosystem. But, when one species becomes invasive, that upsets all the other life in that ecosystem and it can cause damage even to the point of extinction.
So how does this relate to humans?
The Russian Revolution, The French Revolution, The Iranian Revolution, AND THE AMERICAN revolution, all went in different directions, with different outcomes, but all happened for the same reason. LACK OF RESOURCES.
There ARE worldwide very empathetic humans, that if it were not for what they are sold by their local powers, WOULD get along better.
There are humans whom seek power out of greed, then there are others who seek power to do good.
Just like a female lioness is more apt to protect all cubs even if not hers, while the male lion seeks to kill rival cubs.
Humans are really not a magical species above the behaviors, BOTH GOOD AND BAD, that other species display.
I would vote for Teddy, or a Malala whom come from a position of empathy, but unfortunately our species also has bullies who seek power too.
Pure Naturalistic Fallacy
LOL - you quote Brian talking about evolution, and then accuse me of it.

Uh, no, you don't get to just change my goalposts for me.
Quote:it seems that Democrats have been opposed to tax cuts for the top tiers while Republicans have been for them. Starting with FDR in 1937, tax rates for the wealthy have fallen under four Republican presidents, Nixon, Reagan, Dubya, and Trump, and fallen under only JFK/Johnson on the other side. It may be just my impression, but it's been a perennial talking point of the right, and not so on the left. So, while neither side has taxed the hell out of the rich, I think you're making a false equivalency in claiming there is no difference between the two on the issue of taxing the wealthy.
The current difference is 2.6%. BFD.
