The pedo priests should be charged and tried. The leaders who covered it up should be charged with conspiracy or the like and tried. If statutes of limitation are a problem, those should be changed with retroactive effect.

Going forward, the church should wake up and allow priests to marry. Peter was married.

And the Catholic laity should be up in arms about this. I'm not hearing much anything from them.
