It sounds as though any obviously-left person who says obviously-left ideas that you can't personally endorse isn't the "real face of the pc sjw."Pretty sure we've already been down every single road on these questions.
But the fact is that there as many manipulative and annoying people with left-leaning politics as right-- not because of the nature of those ideologies, but because of the nature of people. It doesn't really matter whether they are PC Left ™-- they are using the ideology of the left in extreme, unpleasant and unproductive ways.
Peterson always talks about the Leftist nutjobs as "Extremist," by which he means not to include the left, in general, in his objections.
I don't think that you're particularly adept at picking out the difference between nutballs, rightwing propaganda, and social justice issues.
You look to the first to reenforce the second as an argument against the third. Your idea of extremism in social justice is a slow moving trainwreck of white anxiety, worried that the once oppressed will attempt to become oppressors, worried that people will think that you're a racist for being white, worried that your business will suffer, somehow.
This is certainly what rightwing trash would have people believe..because it helps them to delay the moment when they can no longer set people against each other as a distraction from their incessant grift.
Tell me what part of any of this;
Quote:Social justice is a concept of fair and just relations between the individual and society. This is measured by the explicit and tacit terms for the distribution of wealth, opportunities for personal activity, and social privileges. In Western as well as in older Asian cultures, the concept of social justice has often referred to the process of ensuring that individuals fulfill their societal roles and receive what was their due from society.[1][2][3] In the current global grassroots movements for social justice, the emphasis has been on the breaking of barriers for social mobility, the creation of safety nets and economic justice.[4][5][6][7][8]
would bother you..taken to the extreme? Extreme social mobility? Extreme safety nets? Extreme economic justice? If I had to guess..none of it. None of it would bother you. I bet you even think that they're all good ideas. Everyone should be able to move up in the world. Everyone should only be allowed to fall so far, and we should all get a decent wage for work done.
