I have to make a correction. Yes not even I am perfect. Both Aretha's and McCain's memorials got covered this weekend. For some stupid reason I thought Ariana sang at the McCain services. But that still does not make me wrong about saying if one was not the organizer or the invite, then how those who do it, is none of your business, including what someone wears or sings.
I may have hated Ivanka being at McCain's services, but again, I am not the McCain family, even if I think Graham took advantage of them by making the request Ivanka be allowed to attend knowing how the McCains feel about her dad.
Point is, in both cases, only the organizers and the invites have a say in both cases.
Getting pissed about how an event goes, wedding or funeral, when you are not part of it, is petty. It is also the same argument we make about theists and things like how to celebrate a holiday or what food someone can or cannot eat. Just because you are on a diet, does not mean you get to dictate to others what food they eat.
