Eventually this man was the starting point of a religion that has more than 1 billion followers, and they're increasing day by day.

I see Mohamed as being on par with Attila the Hun. Yes, he was famous, but for all the wrong reasons, some of which you list above. General George Sherman was a great Union general, but that does not change the fact that he was also a (unprosecuted) war criminal.
