First of all, it sounds like he's mocking his own congregation at several points. Secondly, WOMEN go to that church? Third, WHAT?! Fourth, he must think that God wrote the Bible in KJV English to support that argument. Read the Greek buddy, you're completely wrong about what the Bible says about women. Fifth, WHAT?! Sixth, you realize you're basically putting yourself in the place of God, Jack Schaap? The ego on that one.
Actually guys like Jack Schaap in this case are not cherry picking what the New Testament says about how women and men should interact. Particularly that women are forbidden to teach or exercise authority over men. Although Jack is a more upfront about this stuff than many Evangelical and Catholic clergy who hold the same views.
Also I was paraphrasing from a modern translation (Holman Standard Christian Bible to be precise) not the KJV. Might I add as well why the hell do I need to read what these verses mean in Greek. Is it not the job of the translators to as accurately as possible translate what the text says.
I wouldn't say cherry picking, because that view on women, called complementarianism, is actually pretty popular. At this point probably less than 50% of Christians believe it, but you're right, that is a common one.
The mention of the KJV I made is just a joke about fundamentalists who argue that the KJV is the only valid version of the Bible. My mention of the the Greek is actually valid here since he's arguing that the man as "head" of the woman means he's her boss, which is actually a misunderstanding of the Greek word "Kaphale" which people mistake pretty often. It shows a lack of familiarity with the Greek.
