Wow, well I know women are real, so I'd avoid offending any unnecessarily. I don't know of any objective evidence that any deity or deities exist, or are possible, so see no reason to accept second hand claims from archaic superstitions, that they can be offended.

I would suppose that if someone is following Leviticus that closely, they are in a marital relationship with a woman who is also following the laws closely. In the case of the Orthodox Jews, the woman has to go to the Mikveh to purify herself after the seven days.

I doubt anyone who is going by Leviticus is cruising the bars meeting random women to have sex with.

When I go clubbin' and buy a woman a drink, I make it a point to ask her if she's menstruating, or in estrus.

How can I tell if a woman is on her period?

Ask Valkyrie what the proper etiquette is and we can get a data point by doing a post-mortem on your remains, assuming they're ever found. That would be incredibly unscientific and would more likely reflect blood-caffeine content (kindly ask her after her first cup or we won't get anything except the splatter pattern analysis) or chocolate uptake than anything else but would be immensely entertaining for the rest of us.

Sadly, this turns out to be a pretty real concern for certain ultra-orthodox sects. Due to irregular spotting combined with the seven day wait time, some couples find themselves with literally not enough days in the week to get it on. This leads to a phenomenon called "Religious Infertility" or, more simply, "Too Dumb To Breed".

It is a concern because God demands that people not even so much as touch something that a menstruating woman sat on. This means you can not drive on public transportation, for example, because you do not know if a menstruating woman has sat in the seat you want. Or if you want to go to the dentist and first you have to sit in a waiting room and then on the dentist chair which could all be foiled by an unclean woman.

This simply demonstrates the absurdity of God's commandments.
