I used to tow one of those behind a tractor at the golf course I worked at. Cut my finger something fierce trying to free a blade one time, too. It made me woozy.
The Y-donor tried to unplug the discharge port on a mower once, cut his thumb all the way down, bone showing the whole way. We put him in the back of the pick-up and Mom drove us to the hospital, about five miles. I held pressure on the wound as we went. The staff had me keep the pressure on as they pulled him onto a gurney, then a nurse took over. I was bright red. I was also six years old. Still remember that.
