Why is it that whenever someone disagrees with a celebrity's political opinion they say: "They should stick to [x] and stay out of politics." It's like a script. Conservatives do it until a celebrity supports them and vice versa.
They're American citizens. They should be involved in politics, like all of us should.

No, he's making the known argument that the prison loophole in the 13th amendment led to essentially a second era of enslavement of African-Americans. This happened in the South for decades post-Reconstruction, and black people are still targeted for drug crimes at disproportionate rates. What's stupid is: the Republicans are the ones perpetuating it. So he has no idea what the hell he's saying.
