Religion here with black americans was originally used as a social restraint to keep black african slaves from turning on the white population at that time, to help them find peace with their adopted soceity...
Now you think it is a good thing that the social restraints let's call them 'collective morality' for lack of a better term, are being removed is a good thing. keeping in mind white social structure, culture and even what is and is not moral are not always in agreement with black american culture/morality.
So now... what is to stop angry black americans for demanding their version of justice? Something that fits their culture and not yours (old whitie)
Cause again we/you being the majority of white america and church going black america did/does enjoy a common morality based on Christian values like it or not.
What happens when you remove those values? granted we might get a watered down version of this but simply look at all modern examples of majority black run nations in africa. and wakanda doesn't count as it is an imaging of an old white man and not an actual place. Do you want to live in any of those countries? Honestly I would not want to live in one of the "best/most westernized" country as they are still 3rd world nations by our standard of living.
