Not much i can add to this thread but a perspective of someone who got falsely accused of rape, the position K. purpots himself to be in. Lots has been said about the credibility of Ford based on experiences of female aquantances or family members.
Speaking as such a person (having been falsely accused of rape and going through a complete trial) i can say two things:
#1 Kavanaugh looks/acts not the least believable.
The first, and the last, and the only thing your lawer (if he is worth a penny) will tell you is to not, i repeat: to not attack the accuser. No.matter.what. You argue, you look at the evidence, you defend yourself, you may interrogate her in court, but handle her with silk gloves. But there is one single fucking thing you dont do, ever. Attack her.
Yet this is what K. did. Not directly, but by insinuating that she is part of some soncpiracy. Laughable.....at best.
#2 Ratio of false accusations
When i went to the best attorney you can buy for money and told him my story he went: "I am in this business now for over 20y years. Mostly i am involved in cases of rape and sexual assault, but so far there is only two cases in which i thought my client is innocent. You are the second."
I was around 20 when this happened. I was young and inexperienced and yes, i would hav elike dot attack her. Yet i had an attorney who knew better. But now that i am older i woud never act or behave like when i was 20, if i was in teh same situation. K. however reactedexactly like i would have liked, yet he is my current age and an attorney himself. Fuck, the whole mess is about him trying to be appointed to the highest jurisdictional position in your country, but he seems to lack the self control as well as experience/knowledge of how to behave in such a situation.
Irregadless of the actual case (him assaulting her or not), he clearly is unfit for this job, and i am not even adressing that he was possibly even more stupid if he got near perjury (needlessly!!!!) by trying to downplay how he acted as a 20y old. All he needed to do is to admit to how and who he was back then, and then explain how he has changed. Thats what we all do. Heck, i am sitting here and telling you about my (similar case). I should have never had gotten in such company where this could have happened to me, but i did. I was young and stupid. Now only "and" is left.
