YES there is a presumption of innocence. BUT police, and FBI are STILL THERE to take the report and investigate it to see who is telling the truth and who is not so they can hand that info over to lawyers and a court.

Just like if your house is robbed and you didn't see it, the police can look at similar crimes after your report, they can talk to other robbery victims. It could be very easy for a suspect to cop out to , "I didn't know it was stolen".
Some people here have this stupid fucking assumption, that an investigation is as simple as believing and taking her word for it, even in cases of no DNA or sperm. No, even in so called "he said, she said" cases, it involves a hell of a lot more than that, and they don't simply go "ok"?. But regardless, when they get a call for any crime, they cant say, "We didn't see it so we won't do shit".

This entire hearing was a FUCKING sham on the part of the GOP.
