Trust or confidence is the very definition of faith.  I think that you have bad sources.... or perhaps just prefer a straw man.

If you mean the first definition, then you’d be correct. Hell confidence is even in most versions of the first definition, but here’s the thing; exactly none of us are falling for the same old crap, Road. We all know there’s a second definition, and you know that’s how faith is typically confined during religious discussion. So cut the shit.

It's a trend i'm seeing among theists to lower everything to their religious standards so they can pretend they are on an equal footing with science or real actual means of understanding the world .
