Incorrect.  By faith you mean that which has no evidence to prove itself.

By confidence, one is not reliant upon faith.

Trust or confidence is the very definition of faith.  I think that you have bad sources.... or perhaps just prefer a straw man.

More specifically we trust the evidence in favor the resurrection of Jesus Christ and that gives us the confidence to try to live as Christians.

Yet another thread by an atheist redefining 'evidence' to mean 'proof' in order to prop up a lack of confidence about their own rationality.
