Trust or confidence is the very definition of faith. I think that you have bad sources.... or perhaps just prefer a straw man.
More specifically we trust the evidence in favor the resurrection of Jesus Christ and that gives us the confidence to try to live as Christians.
It doesn't fit their narrative, so they won't accept that.

Yet another thread by an atheist redefining 'evidence' to mean 'proof' in order to prop up a lack of confidence about their own rationality.
They become hyper skeptical, when they don't want to believe in God. It just shows the irrationality and inconsistancy of it.
