I hope they realized what a mistake that was. Even if they didn't want to vote Hillary, they could have at least wrote in a candidate and then voted in their local elections. 

People need to understand that voting should be a civic duty. Even when both candidates are unfavorable. You still have the right to do a write in candidate.
I don't think it was a mistake.

There comes a point in life where you realize that going to the freak show is what keeps them coming back to town.
If you don't go to the circus, the clowns will go away.
