I pull up the plants in the planters (unless they had any disease, then I landfill those). I have almost 20 containers, so this is no small task.
Clean then cover the garden beds w/ some fresh leaf compost. I put away all garden decor/planters. Drain the garden hoses and line, and store them.
Clean the gutters, mow the lawn one last time, put away deck furniture. Put away fire pit furniture. Clean all of the bird feeders and baths with vinegar/water. Put away hummingbird feeder...
I haven't done one thing yet, so I need to get my butt in gear.
We don't have any machinery to worry about, we use a reel mower, don't own a snowblower or weedwacker.
