Lol..
When I see this story on major network TV, or even NPR, then I will consider it covered.
If Trump said the same thing - it would be a headline for days.
You' re lying to yourself if you believe otherwise.

If Trump said it in the way Clinton said it, i.e. as a joke, effectively mocking the interviewer, it wouldn't be racist, even if Trump is a racist. Being a racist doesn't mean you automatically believe every racist stereotype.
I agree obviously. I think she was mocking the reporter for confusing black congressmen. But if Trump did tell same, in the same tone. People in the media and on these forums would lose their fucking minds. I have no doubt.

I don't think there is ever really a good reason to misrepresent what someone says. Irregardless of the person. I always want to have someone's thoughts and ideas as accurate as possible. What possible good does an uncharitable reading do anyone?
For example, if you believe Trump said 'Mexicans are rapists' then you just aren't paying attention or being accurate to what's being said. If you then use that quote as evidence that if Trump said something like this it would be racist then you are stuck in a cycle of partisanship that just clouds your thinking and makes you are dumber person over all. This is irregardless of how much your agree or disagree with a person. I mean how would you even know if you are giving someone an inaccurate or uncharitable reading of everything they say?
Seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy -- myself.
