Right. And that level of equivocation is a bad thing, in my opinion. I didn't particularly like Hillary Clinton, but I'd vote for her 1000x in order to save the country from Donald Trump and the likely irreparable damage he's done to the institutions of our democracy. He's pushed the line of presidential behavior so far that I don't think we'll see a candidate for either party who wouldn't do or say anything to 'rile up their base' in a long time. We used to at least have shame.
Hillary Clinton may not have been everything we wanted, and there is plenty of blame to be put at the foot of the Democratic Party for being so tone deaf as to the direction of the party and where the base was at and slamming through a woefully unexciting and unpopular candidate, not to mention telegraphing that they were doing as much for the 8 years of Obama's presidency and coming out with a candidate that was so caked in Fox News shit that even liberals couldn't see through it, but she was at worst a centrist policy wonk akin to Obama.
The fact that we're still equivocating is astonishing to me.
