So..in answer to the op q, maybe less sending them off to die. We could start there.
I don't think isolationism works either.
Isolationism is what plunged us into WW2.
It isn't a matter of always going to war, or never going to war, but exhausting all avenues of diplomacy, while still engaging the world in diplomacy.
This asshole shitting on the White House is a narcissist, out for himself, and has no empathy for anyone say outside his family.
The problem with attacking our military, and our intel for that matter, is that the people who apply and get in, do not take an oath to a political party, much less a religion. Their duty is to defending our western ideas, our pluralism, even when they don't agree with those whom they are defending.
The left also falls for the nonsense that when an administration changes hands, suddenly everything prior gets gutted, and in reality the peaceful transfer of power, ESPECIALLY with our DIVERSE intel and DIVERSE military, is a baton, like in an Olympic relay race, as to which the new power takes the history of all prior power in account, may tweak it a bit, but does not gut everything out of spite of the prior power.
There is no party oath to serve in the military, nor secret service, nor CIA or FBI. The entire history of all our intel, and our military has been full of people working side by side, of different political views, different religious views, but while on the job, outside their voting habits, they all are on the same team.
The orange turd has been a dick since he came down the escalator. But it is worse now, because he is in office undermining the very military and intel we rely on in order not to end up like North Korea.
