So, REAL Christians shouldn't have Christmas trees.

No REAL Christians shouldn't be afraid of Christmas trees and shouldn't treat them as idol. It's exactly why Christians do have Christmas trees, because it''s not an idol and has no power. You forgot about Isaiah's tree example. For me and almost every Christian I own, it's just a decoration of the season we could do without. I personally hate putting up trees and decoration and lights. Maybe I should convince my wife that it's an idol and we shouldn't have it.

I just want to point out that this entire thread from title to peanut gallery, every Xtian, Jesus freak, religitard, is ridiculously small minded and petty. Feel free to rant about your religious persecution and hatred of religion, whatevs, it's your forum, but it's patently obvious that discourse (civil or vitriolic) doesn't even cross the minutest scope of intention for anyone displaying that behavior. Maybe I should have suggested that you can select an option when starting a threat to pop up a disclaimer "this is a rant and my view is all that matters" or "I would like to discuss and will attempt to be civil"
