In all machine shops I worked in - fire extinguishers had a placard mounted on the wall that says " fire extinguisher ".
The plackard is about 10 inch high - the extinguisher a couple feet.
You see the redundancy???
OSHA fines the company if you don't have the placard.
So apparently, they feel the employees are dumb enough to not be able to find the fire extinguisher without written instructions.
