And the following may come in handy if you should ever find yourself in medieval Europe:
4 farthings = 1 penny
5 pennies = 1 groat
5 groats = 1 shilling
2 shillings = 1 florin
2 florins = 1 ducat
2 ducats = 1 silver mark
5 silver marks = 1 sovereign
And from 1970 onwards, my father did nothing but bitch about decimalization.
