Human garbage = those that wiillfully screw other people for profiit - aka lowlife thieves....

What makes you think there was deliberate deception in this case? It sounds to me like your knowledge of automobiles is well above average. Why do you assume the owner knew of the situation?

The replaced rear tire is a dead giveaway.


When the mount first rusted out - and quit limiting the rear wheels tracking - it would have destroyed the tire. The typical driver would not notice the change in handling. I would. I know. I have two other cars ( kept for parts) where the exact same failure occurred. Once for me, and once for my SO. She noticed hers right away, as did I - because we both had lots of miles in this model. ( My SO bought her 96 new and put 360,000 miles on it. My 95, I put 140,000 on it, and my 2nd 95 30,000 or so when the failure occurred.

When the tire went out - shredded - I would bet the tire store advised the owner of the problem - and told them the new tire would not go 100 miles before shredding. They would be criminal, not to.

So there' s little doubt in my mind.
