I don’t know why you’d rely on Buzzfeed in the first place, or why the fact that the story has been refuted means you can’t trust the media. No one lied to you. All the major media outlets were very clear that the story had yet to corroborated.
I didn’t rely on Buzzfeed for anything, but a variety of networks repeated the buzzfeed story, giving it legitimacy, when it had the veracity of a tabloid.
Trump called it fake news, and he was right.
