I've visited over 50 cities.
So far I've been treated rudely exactly twice:
Once in New York: A stuffwitted immigration officer with the mistaken impression that everyone is just dying to live in the US.
Once in London: A snooty maitre'd at a 2 star hotel at which I was staying.
Simple rules of thumb:I am always polite,open and friendly,most people respond in like manner. (even in New York) NEVER EVER criticise a city or country to a native. I am a guest in their city/country,I behave like one. KEEP YOUR COOL and obey their laws. You do NOT want to be arrested in any foreign country.
