I tried to explain this to you earlier.
Lets say Hillary ran this time instead, and Bernie stayed out this time. EVEN SHE would not be my first pick. FOR THE SAME REASONS.
Not because of the candidate, but because of the supporters. And again, not because of a majority, last time most of both were on the same page in the general. But just enough people like you IN HIS CAMP AND HILLARY'S CAMP helped contribute to sitting out or voting third party.
My goal is to beat Trump. If that means voting for Bernie if he wins the nomination I will. But if Harris or Warren or Booker or Biden win the nomination, I will vote for them. But as it stands right now, YOUR BEHAVIOR, not Bernie's BUT YOURS makes it harder for me to consider him in the primaries. I'd feel the same way if Hillary chose to run this time too. And I saw the same scorched earth mentality from just enough of her supporters last time too.
You are not going to bully me into supporting Bernie in the primaries.
It is strategy for me. Not popularity. And as of this moment I do not see him winning the nomination. I don't think Hillary would either if she ran again. We will see who wins the nomination, and I am voting blue no matter who and if its Bernie I will vote for him.
Will you vote for the democrat no matter who? That is what I did last time, and that is what I will do again this time. Primaries and generals are two different things. But only the general gets you to the White House.
