This is I'm sure what frankie was talking about when he mentioned insincere respect. You don't respect your military officer because he deserves it. You respect him out of fear. Simple as. That is not sincere respect.

As I said, respect is shown in two ways. Thought, and action. If you do not show one, you show the other. If you fail to do so, you get punished sometimes, until you learn how.
