Why are you limiting this to Christianity? Nobody in antiquity worldwide had anything close to the modern scientific data humans have today? Your religion is not special to me, it is merely one in human history.
1. 13.8 billion year old universe.
2. Scientific ignorance of all humans in antiquity.
3. Claims of super natural are nothing more than our species projections of their own desires, fears, narcissism, ego, insecurities in comic book form.
I think most human beings are good, and quite capable of morality and empathy for others. But I do not see what makes our species do good as being magically handed down to our species, but has always been in our genes.
