Evolution and Christianity and Salvation
RE: Evolution and Christianity and Salvation

I am finding it amusing that, as evidence to bolster your point, the very best you could seem to do was reffer to a movie.
Your just jelly because you've been out smarted by something so simple and foolish a child could understand it, yet you do not argue the implication or point just the methodology. meaning the point or purpose i employed such a tactic worked, but you feel off put at how simple something that has escaped you was demonstrated.
Quote: Not a documentary. Not some scholastic, peer reviewed work or collection of statistics but a piece of entertainment.
again sport Jesus used these very same methods. He took everyday stories of people and situation even scandelous ones illustrated them and brough people an understand of something so complex most intellectual fail to grasp it and put these things in the grasp of children..

Do you know how hard it is to create something simple like that or to see a parable being played out in something like a movie and the tie it to a principle Jesus taught in an air tight way?
It is not easy or all f you would do it.

Quote:Hence my comment of some one, or I, attempting to make some insightful comments about cold war America... only to reffer to "War Games' starring Michael Broderic as supposed supporting evidence for said claims.
in your mind what would disqualify the movie IF IFwhat the movie protrays is 100% accurate?
Why is it so strange to you to identify truth in something trivial?

Didn't einstein say if you can not explain a concept to a child then you yourself do not understand it?

When teaching "we" must teach to the slowest person in the room, which is why I get so much greif. However if I tarted a lecture in basic hermenutics and or koine greek inflectional verbs (words who meaning change depending on how or what part of the word youemhasise) no one would care or would comment. I even had a semi basic bible study in the book of roman that seemd to shoot over everyone head and all i got was people talking about the election or the game. But when I draw out a principle in a way you can see it play out because that part matches up with a movie then viola we get dialog.

So now you know God is not a magic wizard and the bible supports this not just a movie, but you also know Jesus taught in a simlar way using parables.

Quote:That you're continuing to try and run with you narrative as opposed to rebutting my remarks would also seem also to be par for the course with yourself as you relate to every one else on the forum.
Again if this teaching style is Good enough for Jesus then I'm sure it will work for me as well. even if you do not understand it all the way.
Quote:As for "Peoples understanding of god has not changed" ?

Gee... that's odd. I would actually seem to think people's understanding of your diety has changed a great deal. Unless you still think things such as slavery are a good,
without slavery we would still be monkeys living in the trees. In fact the world current economy would crash and approximately 5 billion people would die/starve to death if not for modern day forms of slavery.

Quote: moral choice for people to keep doing in this modern age as opposed to back when technology was still in the bronze age.
yu are a self deluded fool. slavery is alive and well dummy.just google modern day examples of slavery... you will soon see you would not be able to afford to eat, you would have no fresh produce. meat would be out of the question. then we move on to rawmaterials, meaning there is not a raw material produced in the world with a slaves finger print put on it. which means all of your products you gadgets your car your house your air con the infrastructure (power lines roads and utlites) would not be possible without modern day slaves.

You don't know it but what you mean to say is chattle slavery is all but gone. which is not the same thing as slavery outlined in the bible.

Slavery in the bible works out like a soceity without a currency standard. Imagine a society which was trade based. imagine if you had nothig to trade but dude you know is offering a 20 acre farm stocked with all th things you need to make it on your own. but you have nothing to trade except yourself/labor. so then Rather than let people make their own rules God steps in and says these trades for time of a man's life must be tightly regulated meaning everything must be fair. and you can not over charge.. which is basically what is happening in the world slave trade today except there is no God or oversite to make sure things are fair. just because people like you want to pat themselves on the back for not being bronze age immoral people.

What a foolish douche.

https://www.antislavery.org/slavery-toda...n-slavery/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_in...st_century (by the definitions provided by state owned slaves all the people in north korea china and russia are slaves. Or any other communal government subsidized form of living. (which could include people in the us on welfare)

Slavery is alive and well my friend because people like you are not smart enough to see past a name. Now without it 2/3 of the world dies.. So which is the greater evil my 'moral' friend.. ending all slavery thus crashing the world ecconomy resulting in 1/2 to 2/3of the population of the world dying in a short amount of time?

OR

IDK have God put laws on our slavery to make sure the slaver workers get a good deal and can make a good life for themselves after their term is up?

Or

what you are doing pretending slavery does not exist and slave owner treat their slaves in an uchecked way and basically work them till they can't work any more. Just so you can pretend to be more moral than god.
