Interestingly enough this milankovitch theory also jives with the holy grail of the sky is falling, the precious ice core samples. It wouldn't really matter what the scale of time were.  If our current warming were due to a milankovitch cycle...then the stratosphere would also be warming.  Heat from a star has to go through that to get down here.
