Although, probably a lot better than the De La Salle shower who  'educated' me. They had two responses to any difficult theological question, such as say the trinity: "It's a mystery of faith, we just believe ".  The other response was to hit you for being 'cheeky'. (late 1950's early 1960's)

My Irish Catholic father? Ring Lardner expressed dad's approach best:  "Shut up, he explained" .
Ah memories. I still fantasise about driving a petrol tanker to that school while it's on fire, with all the brothers inside.  

-------Wont' happen; pretty sure they're all dead. Most of them actually left the order and got married, There was ONE I liked and respected. He ran off with the school librarian. I was very impressed..
