That is just a colossal argument from ignorance. You can't figure it out, therefore nobody else can possibly figure it out and nobody ever will in the future figure it out. Therefore god did it.

One of the reasons Christianity became so popular is that it contains no new concepts. It was neither strange nor foreign. There are a lot of similarities with the mystery religions. With its unoriginal idea of a blissful after life, early Christianity was most attractive to the marginalised, such as slaves and women--even more so when one realises early Christianity did not include a belief in an eternal hell. That piece of nonsense took I think a couple of hundred years to be perfected.
