I watched a few episodes and read a few strips, but nothing made me laugh or feel any emotion for that matter. I've heard people saying that it' a case of "Seinfeld isn't funny", but I doubt that. I'm young and I do like Seinfeld. Maybe I would've liked it more if I watched the show when it came out, but who knows. That's not all. There are older comics than Peanuts I find a lot more interesting : Popeye, Donald Duck, Little Nemo, The Adventures of Tintin, and there are probably a lot more that I would like if I tried them. It's not just comics, I still find the Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes hilarious to this day, and I did grow up with them. It also applies to some live live action movies. I enjoy the works of Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy. Not to mention ancient greece literature.
I grew up reading Peanuts in the newspapers during the 1960s, and it was always my favorite strip. I own all 26 volumes of The Complete Peanuts books -- which include all 17,897 daily and Sunday comics -- and I have read them all twice.
