I am in favour of gays having the right to get
married but am against marriage itself. But as
long as it exists then it is only right that this should
be extended to all. But marriage ultimately should be
abolished. It is an anachronism. The fundamental basis
of it is monogamy - eternal monogamy - which is the most
extraordinary reason imaginable for revoking it. Why ? Because
Man is not hardwired for it and never has been. Marriage is fine if
if you are a swan or penguin but not so a human. You do not need a
ring and piece of paper to reference your love for another human being
