That would have been my first instinct. But when it says she started the fight, it makes me wonder what really happened. Though it would take a lot of danger to justify shooting someone in self defense. Maybe there will be another story about it that explains it more.

I'm hard-pressed to believe an unarmed pregnant woman did something that justifies being shot in the stomach, let alone justifies holding her accountable for his killing the unborn child.
